A handful more acts have been added to the 2025 Sydney Comedy Festival line-up, for its 20th anniversary.
Joining the previously announced Guy Montgomery, Jimeoin and Arj Barker, is the Silver Logie-winning ‘The Cheap Seats’ co-host and ‘Thank God You’re Here’ favourite Melanie Bracewell, and much-loved Australian comedy icon Nazeem Hussain.
Plus there’s the return of South African hotshot Schalk Bezuidenhout and long-time festival favourite Becky Lucas. The award-winning Danish comedian and podcaster Sofie Hagen graces the Sydney Comedy Festival stage for the first time.
Night after night, the Comedy Festival will present a dazzling line-up of the world’s funniest comedians all throughout Sydney, returning to Sydney Opera House with the Gala and heading to Penrith’s Joan Sullivan Performing Arts Centre for the first time ever with an all-star Gala and shows from Melanie Bracewell, Nazeem Hussain, and more.
In the last week of the festival, laughs will take over Bondi Pavilion with hilarious acts on night after night.
Best Of The Fest and the Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase also make their returns in 2025.
“We are so excited for 2025 to be our biggest festival yet, expanding to new hubs and bringing the comedy and the joy to more of New South Wales,” Festival Director Jorge Menidis says.
Audiences can also expect to see Anisa Nandaula, Ashwyn Singh, Bron Lewis, Chris Parker, Harriet Kemsley, Jack Ansett, Jess Fuchs, Kai Humphries, Kemah Bob, Luke Heggie, Matt Ewins, Pat & Faye Shortt, Ray O’Leary, ROBO Bingo, Sh!tfaced Shakespeare, Varun Grover and Wankernomics.
Sydney Comedy Festival 2025 is on from 21 April-18 May.
