Fancy a tease? The first acts gracing the stage for Sydney Comedy Festival in 2024 are here.
Sydney Comedy Festival will take over Sydney across April and May next year, and first up you can expect to see the Gold Logie Award-winning ‘Hard Quiz’ host Tom Gleeson, plus deadpan stand-up legend Luke Heggie. Next up is one for lovers of ‘Shrek’ and burlesque. . . It’s the ogre-inspired ‘Swamplesque’. Plus, the return of much-loved, all-female comedy event ‘Frocking Hilarious’.
This peek of acts comes alongside the return of the famous Sydney Comedy Festival Gala events at Sydney Opera House, The Enmore Theatre, The Concourse in Chatswood, Pavilion Performing Arts Centre Sutherland, and Paramatta’s Riverside Theatre.
The Gala events feature star-studded line-ups with renowned international talents, Aussie legends, and the next big things.
“I am so excited to bring audiences the barrel of laughs and unrestricted joy that is the Sydney Comedy Festival 2024,” Festival Director Jorge Menidis says.
“With more than 250 of the best local and international comedy acts taking over Sydney’s stages in April and May, this year there really is going to be something for everyone.”
Tickets to the first shows are on sale now.
