It’s the biggest Sydney Comedy Festival line-up since before the pandemic – serving up some of the very best international, Australian, and local comedians on stage across the city.
This year marks the return of some of the world’s best international talents. There’s the UK’s Joe Lycett, Sara Pascoe and Paul Foot, Scotland’s Daniel Sloss and Larry Dean, Finland’s Ismo, New Zealand’s Guy Montgomery, Malaysia’s Jason Leong, Lebanon’s Nemr, and South Africa’s Schalk Bezuidenhout.
Meanwhile, down under talents include Kitty Flanagan, Luke Heggie, The Bear Pack, Chris Ryan, Geraldine Hickey, Peter Helliar and Dave Hughes. Plus, Aussie favourite Osher Gunsberg presents ‘Night Time News Network National News’, and ‘Taskmaster Australia’ treasure Nina Oyama presents ‘We Should Hang Out’.
Becky Lucas will exclusively bring Sydney her new show ‘Staring Into Space’, and last year’s Festival Award Winners Gabbi Bolt, Cameron James, Wil Anderson and Rhys Nicholson all return with something for everyone, from original musical comedy to sensational stand-up.

Of course, things will kick off in superb style with the Sydney Comedy Festival Galas at the Enmore Theatre, Pavilion Performing Arts Centre, The Concourse, and Sydney Opera House.
The Galas will feature a dazzling line-up of the festival’s funniest international stars, Aussie legends, and the next big things in comedy.
“I find myself returning to the names in the 2023 programme and smiling in anticipation for what is about to hit Sydney,” Festival Director Jorge Menidis says.
“Following what has been a dark and dreary couple of years, we come skipping along to 2023 promising nothing more than unbridled hilarity!”
Sydney Comedy Festival is on from 24 April-21 May.
