Ahead of its full announcement in February, Sydney Comedy Festival has shared a handful of the acts heading to the city for the 2020 event.
Coming to Australia for the first time is Nicole Byer. The American comedy dynamo is known for her unique brand of confident, irreverent comedy and is recognisable as the host of Netflix's 'Nailed It!'.Joining Byer is a slew of overseas comedians including Stephen K Amos, Jason Byrne, Ari Eldjarn, Larry Dean, Jamali Maddix, and Melanie Bracewell.
Local stars will also bring their new acts to the festival including the witty Sammy J, Becky Lucas, Gen Fricker, Nina Oyama, Matt Okine and Rosie Waterland.
It will all kick off in style with the much-loved galas held at State Theatre, Enmore Theatre and The Concourse.
"We are delighted to bring to Sydney yet another massive comedy event," Festival Director Jorge Menidis says. "The 2020 Sydney Comedy Festival promises nothing less than a month-long pee-your-pants funny programme that will do you more good than harm. Be bold, try something new and join the 120,000 other people at one of the shows!"
