For its 15th year, the Sydney Comedy Festival will deliver some of the finest comedians from across the globe and back over four weeks.
Though the full programme isn’t released until February 2019, the first line-up of artists has arrived and it’s pretty great.
First up are a few of the Festival’s regular attendees from overseas including Arj Barker, Ross Noble and Stephen K Amos.
Adding some more punch to the line-up is Irish comedy legend Jimeoin, acclaimed Scottish stand-up and Netflix star Daniel Sloss, comic nurse Georgie Carroll and New Zealand International Comedy Festival’s 2017 Best Newcomer Melanie Bracewell.

On the local side of things we’ve got Nazeem Hussain, acid-tongued prince Joel Creasey, hilariously outspoken Akmal, Australia’s only Turkish comic Tahir, musical comedy duo The Stevenson Experience and rising star Demi Lardner.
“We are pretty chuffed with our first announcement and can’t wait to tell you about the rest!” Festival Director Jorge Menidi says.
The Festival will kick off with its spectacular Gala events at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney Opera House, Riverside Theatres and The Concourse.
