The Sunshine Coast Comedy Festival is approaching, and its line-up continues to expand with one final release of acts joining the festivities.
The four-day festival brings even more additions to its huge programme, further adding to a star-studded line-up which celebrates fun, diversity and inclusivity.
Set to turn the Sunshine Coast into Queensland’s comedy capital for its four days in November, more heavy-hitting comedy arrives including the Aboriginal Comedy All-Stars on the back of a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe season, media darlings Tommy Little and Cal Wilson, and some unmissable, A-team line-up shows like ‘Best Of British’ and the ‘Strong Female Characters’ shows. There’s also appearances from Rory Lowe and Georgie Carroll.
But wait – there’s more.
Dan Willis will present his show ‘Australia: A Whinging Pom’s Guide’, and Vanessa Larry Mitchell brings the sell-out ‘Teardrops On My Dildo. Local legends Ting Lim and Ashwin Segkar make a spicy combo in ‘Rice & Spice’ and Ting shows off her solo show ‘Every Ting Or No Ting’.
Fave local boy Ben Knight returns home after an epic season of acting in feature films and performing in festival shows.
The festival will also bring back its ‘Laugh-able’ competition: A series of open-mic events for the local funny folk, culminating in a grand final at the Festival Hub offering contestants a cash prize and the opportunity to return for the 2023 event as a headliner of their own ‘Laugh-able Comeback Tour’.
For those looking to stay up a little later, there’s ‘Nauti Late Night Comedy’ at the Nautical, but it’s not all Adults Only. There’s something for even the youngest of chuckle fans. . . Don’t miss ‘Fully Made Up: The Completely Totally Utterly Made-Up Comedy Cabaret Spectacular Extravaganza’.
Sunshine Coast Comedy Festival is on from 10-13 November.
