Stephen K Amos Is Talking For The Everyman

Stephen K Amos
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Perennial festival favourite Stephen K Amos treats audiences to 'Everyman'.

Fresh from Edinburgh Fringe – barring the long-haul flight to get here – Stephen presents his stand-up show 'Everyman' in which he seeks to remind us what we have in common in a world increasingly splintered by talking heads and differing opinions.

A performer of immeasurable warmth and affable charm, not to mention his ability for whip-smart comedy, Stephen is the everyman we need to rise up and bring about world peace, or at the very least an evening of relative peace and carefree chuckles.

Armed with his weapon of choice – comedy – Stephen deftly navigates the problems of modernity with funny anecdotes and hilarious takes on the everyday that will warm your cold, dead hearts as you experience the universal language of laughter.

Though it seemed in 2019 we wouldn't be seeing Stephen for some time, he has been so taken with the response he received last time that he just had to come back and say 'g'day' before he jets off to tour the US.

“A guy can change his mind right?!,” Stephen says.

“Absolutely overwhelmed by the messages and support last year, including the incredible generosity of my audiences with my fundraising initiative following each show for local hospices and palliative care charities. My US plans kick-in in 2020, so this is my whistle-stop, thank you tour. Not quite goodbye or farewell, but I’ll see you down the road.”
