Sarah Silverman Announces Two-Show Aussie Tour

Sarah Silverman
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

She had us worried when she got all-serious-and-shit in 2012 film Take This Waltz, but fans will be pleased to hear that Sarah Silverman has not abandoned her roots; she's planning a two show Australian stand-up tour this November/ December to flex her comedic muscles.

And boy, has that chick got guns.

Silverman - the poster girl for politically incorrect hilarity – is known for various reasons: her ridiculous sitcom The Sarah Silverman Program enjoyed three healthy seasons, starred in an episode of Seinfeld (as Kramer's girlfriend, so perfect); and her video confession to cheating on then-boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel with actor Matt Damon (aptly named “I'm F*cking Matt Damon”) has over 2 million hits. There was also that time in 2007 when she hosted the MTV Movie Awards and followed Britney Spears' big comeback performance with the line: "Wow, she is amazing. I mean, she is 25 years old, and she has already accomplished everything she's going to accomplish in her life."

Her most famous stand-up venture was named “Jesus Is Magic". We're sure the latest will be equally as offensive (and hilarious).

The comedienne will bring her unique brand of humour to the Opera House on November 30 and Melbourne's The Palais Theatre shortly after on December 8. Tickets go on sale October 15 through Ticketmaster.
