Iconic US comedy performer, actress, singer and author Sandra Bernhard will come to Australia for her first tour here in more than ten years.
Sandra is an American icon who has blazed a trail for many who have come after her. She’s been named as one of Comedy Central’s top 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time, and will bring her unique, raucous mix of cabaret, stand-up, rock and roll and social commentary down under next March.
“Australia is grit and glamour for me, a jewel floating in the sea, a dream that merges sharp edges and beautiful breezes,” Sandra says. “From the epic flight to the rocky beaches, its multicultural landscape, delicious cuisine and beautiful people, you can be sure that when I strut onto those stages, I’ll be ready to give everything. I assure you I will.”
Sandra appeared in season two of the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ series ‘Severance’, as well as the A24 feature ‘Marty Supreme’, just this year. She was recently a guest judge on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’, and has appeared on our TVs in the likes of ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘POSE’, ‘2 Broke Girls’, ‘Broad City’, ‘Will & Grace’ and more.
She gained attention first in the late ‘70s, and continues to entertain audiences all over the place. She’s event got music albums including ‘I’m Your Woman’ and ‘Whatever It Takes’, and she’s written three books: ‘May I Kiss You On The Lips, Miss Sandra?’ ‘Confessions Of A Pretty Lady’, ‘Love, Love And Love’.
