Comedian Sam Campbell's show promises to knock you off your feet.
Here, he answers some questions about 'Trough' and his journey in comedy.
You make it pretty clear that this show truly stands out from the rest. How is yours better?
Far out! Where did I say that? I was probably just trying to sound exciting. I don't reckon it will be better. Oh man. I hope the other comedians don't try to bash me. Actually... You know what... It will be better. It will be the best show. Yeah! I don't care, I'll say it. I'll bash all the other comedians they are all little cry-baby wimps they are all idiots.
When it comes to putting a show together, how do you do it?
You'd have to ask one of my 15 writers. They put the show together while I lay on the sundeck drinking out of a coconut.
During the creative process, do you usually start with one idea and have it turned into something completely different by the time you've finished?
That happens all the time. And you know what? It's one of the best things that can happen to a bloke.
You've made your way onto a web series, to ABC, you're working on a short series for Comedy Central… How does it feel to be part of things like this?
Shit.
You've described your style as 'loose and original'. How did you come up with this style?
Where are you getting these quotes? My style is extremely conservative and appropriate. I have started keeping all my receipts.
How long have you known comedy was going to be your thing and how did you figure it out?
Since I watched 'The Matrix'.
If you weren't taking over the country with your loose and original skills, what do you think you'd be doing right now instead?
I don't have enough money. Give me a hundred bucks.
What can audiences expect to see in 'Trough'?
My muscles.
