Bring a little laughter into your life while facing that fear of audience participation, it's time for the 2016 Sydney Comedy Festival (18 April to 15 May).
Local comedians and comedy fest staples Sammy J & Randy will appear, as well as plenty of other local favourites: The Axis of Awesome, Em Rusicano, Tripod, Matt Okine, Tom Ballard, Kitty Flanagan, Rhys Nicholson, Peter Helliar, Sam Campbell.

US-based Australian comedian Jeff Jeffries will also bring his live show to the Festival at the Enmore Theatre. International acts to grace the SCF stage include Ross Noble, whose new show 'Brain Dump' comes to Sydney Town Hall. Ross will be joined by other overseas visitors: David O'Doherty, Jeff Green, Paul Foot, Al Dene Bene and more.

In its twelfth year, the Festival will host something a little different in 2016: a film festival called Australia's Funniest Shorts, for short-comedy films.
'Frocking Hilarious' is another unique show playing as part of the Festival. Made up of Australia's funniest women doing their thing, it's all about supporting ActionAid, whose work helps women living in poverty. It's comedy for a cause: chuckles for charity.
The Sydney Comedy Festival runs from 18 April to 15 May at various venues.
