Pop culture, pop music and gaming are three of Jesse’s biggest passions. Lady Gaga, Real Housewives and The Sims can almost sum him up – but he also adores a night at the cinema or a trip to the theatre.

Dawn French is a huge twat – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

This trip down the story-filled memory lane of iconic television, film and stage star Dawn French, presented like some kind of warped, chaotic TED Talk by the woman herself, is a total delight. An on-stage screen helps Dawn with her retellings of moments throughout her life where she has proven her ‘twatness’.

It’s a laugh a minute adventure – even when Dawn isn’t delivering a zinger of a punchline (and there are PLENTY here), her iconic mannerisms and body language aid in the ceaseless hilarity. Whether she’s outwardly cringing at her own failures, leaping across the stage, or giving us a play-by-play of a particularly bizarre encounter with Dustin Hoffman, Dawn is just a joy to watch. She's warm, inviting, and contagiously effervescent.

It’s a gorgeous conversation with someone who has been everywhere and seen it all: her storytelling abilities are unmatched, and there’s an underlying genius in the way this show is a heavy injection of nostalgia for all in attendance (and a bit of a retrospective on a glittering career) as much as it is a fantastic stand-up routine. Even the smaller moments are weaved into larger-than-life recounts with the help of suspense and building tension, making this a roller-coaster ride that just keeps going.

Dawn covers it all, from ‘The Comic Strip’ to ‘French & Saunders’, from ‘Harry Potter’ to ‘Death On The Nile’, and she’s got a whacky, wild tale for everything. Not to mention a ridiculous and yet somehow totally endearing musical number to top it all off.

Dawn French is an international treasure. Her presence on screens and stages around the world has, rightfully, made her an icon of entertainment. ‘Dawn French Is A Huge Twat’ is a twinkling example of her longevity, both in its raw material (an exploration of years of career highlights like pantomimes, a vicar-fronted sitcom and forays into Hollywood) and the undeniable talents of the woman herself. FANTASTIC.
