Perth Comedy Festival 2024 First Acts

Luke Heggie, Swamplesque
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Local, national and international comics will once again head to Perth for Perth Comedy Festival through April and May next year.

The festival will once again bring the best local, national, and international comics together for a month of LOLs, with shows at the Regal Theatre (Subiaco), Astor Theatre (Mount Lawley), The Rechabite (Northbridge) and Freo Social (Fremantle).

Everyone’s favourite ogre-inspired parody show, ‘Swamplesque’, with make a splash/mess, with four not-to-be-missed shows. This comes after a sold-out Australian tour. ‘Swamplesque’ offers a smorgasbord of performance including burlesque, drag, musical theatre, and even opera.

The dry, deadpan delivery of Luke Heggie will hit the stage too, as he presents his show called ‘Grogan’. . . Definitely not recommended for anyone brought up to believe that nothing is their fault. As Luke will tell you, most things are your fault.

This is only the tiniest of sneak peeks, plus, the ever-popular Perth Comedy Festival Gala will bring a dazzling line-up of the festival’s funniest international stars, Aussie legends and next big things across three nights at the Regal Theatre.

Plus, friends south of the river can enjoy the Perth Comedy Festival Showcase at Freo Social.

Tickets to these first shows are on sale now.

Perth Comedy Festival 2024 takes place from 22 April-19 May.
