Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) is back – bigger than ever, featuring a diverse, dynamic mix of international superstars, homegrown talents, and emerging comics.


The festival continues its reputation (hey, it’s in the name!) for bringing huge international stars to the stage. In 2025, top-tier acts from the UK, US and Asia will grace the stage. Audiences can look forward to seeing. . .

Celebrated comedian, author and honorary Brit Ruby Wax in ‘I’m Not As Well As I Thought I Was’; Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2024 Best Show winner Amy Gledhill (UK); Jin Hao Li (Singapore/UK), nominated for Best Newcomer at Edinburgh Comedy Awards this year; 2023 Edinburgh Festival Fringe Award-winner Ahir Shah (UK); honorary Australia, comedian and novelist Mark Watson (UK); comedian and football lout Chloe Petts (UK) visiting after a successful Australian debut hour; confessional UK comedian Sara Pascoe; brand-manager-turned-comedian and now Indian TV star Rahul Subramanian after a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run; and a collection of NZ stars like Chris Parker, Guy Montgomery, Guy Williams, Melanie Bracewell, Ray O’Leary, Rhys Darby and Urzila Carlson.


But wait – there’s more.

More international artists are touching down on Melburnian soil. . . Like South African-born comedian and writer Pierre Novellie, British comedian and TV panelist Rosie Jones, 2024’s Most Outstanding Show winner Sarah Keyworth (UK). . . And the list goes on to include acts such as Arj Barker, Elf Lyons, Iliza Shlesinger, and Schalk Bezuidenhout.


Some of the very best of Australia’s comedy scene are taking to the MICF stages. There are stars of TV, radio, and the internet joining the fray. . . Expect to see Alex Ward, Amy Hetherington, Anisa Nandaula, Becky Lucas, Bron Lewis, Cameron James, Claire Hooper, Daniel Connell, Daniel Muggleton, Emma Holland, Geraldine Hickey, Gillian Cosgriff, Grace Jarvis, He Huang, Ivan Aristeguieta, Jenny Tian, Joel Creasey, John Safran, Josh Glanc, Jude Perl, Lizzy Hoo, Lloyd Langford, Lou Wall, Luke Heggie, Luke McGregor, Michael Hing, Michelle Brasier, Nath Valvo, Nazeem Hussain, Oliver Coleman, Sammy J, Sez, Suren Jayemanne, Sweeney Preston & Ethan Cavanagh, Takashi Wakasugi, Ting Lim, Tommy Little, Wil Anderson, Zoë Coombs Marr and more.

MICF’s special events will return for another year. Audiences will be able to take in all the LOLs of The Gala from Oxfam, the Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, The 35th Annual Great Debate, Upfront, and the second annual Asian Allstars Gala. Plus, the future of comedy is here in RAW Comedy, Deadly Funny, and Class Clowns.
