The Yarraville Club is introducing live comedy to the New West. In association with James Young and Matthew Hardy, they've secured the self-described 'fat bastard' of Australian comedy — Mick Molloy — to open proceedings with a special one-off show in the leadup to the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Molloy — an Oz comedy treasure since his time with The D-Generation and The Late Show — will be supported by Bob Franklin (Jimeoin, The Librarians, Stupid Stupid Man) and The Nelson Twins (the bearded bushranger look-alikes from Australia's Got Talent). Matthew Hardy (Good News Week) will serve as MC.
"There is a real appetite for live comedy and live music in Yarraville, the new creative hub of Melbourne," said James Young. "We hope to fill this gap with quality entertainment in the New West's premier venue and help re-invent The Yarraville Club for a new generation."
