Commander Col is focused on their important mission, while Co-Pilot Woodley isn’t.
They’re light years out of their depth, taking on a journey far bigger than their tiny ship (and tiny brains) can handle. Will Col keep the mission on course? Will Woodley’s endless distractions send them spiralling into a black hole of disaster?
The duo are responsible for some of Australia’s most celebrated comedy shows. Now, ‘Lano & Woodley In Space’ is set to promise an hour of classic Lano & Woodley – part sublime, part stupid, all heart.
They came together in 1986 as two parts of a three-hander called The Found Objects. Three became two in 1994, and they became Lano & Woodley for a show at Melbourne’s tiny Carlton Courthouse. That show went on to win the prestigious Award For Best Comedy in Edinburgh.
“‘Lano & Woodley In Space’ will definitely be our best show yet, with no mistakes or missteps. Definitely,” Colin Lane says.
“I'm so lucky that Col has written this wonderful play. This time I'm definitely going to read it. Definitely,” Frank Woodley adds.
