Scottish comedian and magician Kevin Kopfstein will premiere a new work, 'Smoke And Mirrors' for Adelaide Fringe audiences!
The show is set to provide all the laughs and gasps he's been bringing audiences across the globe for more than 30 years.
The award-winning performer will seamlessly blend comedy and audience interaction with magic – plus, there'll even be a Victorian séance within the show.
“I have a spooky doll called Harriet that I found in an antique shop,” Kevin explains. “I've been told that she's haunted. I don't want to give too much away, but whenever she's around she tends to take on a life of her own, and strange things start to happen!”
“I've been working really hard on creating new material for this show, and I'm really proud of it. There will be lots of comedy but also plenty of amazing magic!”
Kevin has performed around the world, including at most of the major festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival, to name a few. He's even appeared on our televisions on multiple occasions – down under he's been seen on 'The Project' and 'Funny Business' on Channel 10, and 'Standing Up' on ABC.
He says that with his material, he seems to have established a sweet spot regarding attendees – reaching a demographic that expands across the generations.
“Although my show is primarily for adults, I've found that audiences of all ages really enjoy it,” Kevin says. “It's especially good for families with older kids who are too old for children's shows but are a bit young for some of the more 'adult' shows.”
'Smoke And Mirrors' plays Mercury @ West Village (Adelaide Fringe) 18 February-20 March.
