Legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld will return to our shores with a new show in 2024.
Jerry will play Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne – he last visited Australia in 2017, in a show where he sold out arenas. He’s excited to return, saying “I have loved Australia since my first tour there in 1998, and I cannot wait to come back to visit some of the greatest comedy fans in the world.”
The comedian’s career took off after his first appearance on ‘The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson’ in 1981. It was eight years later that Jerry teamed up with fellow comedian Larry David, to create what became the most successful comedy series in television history: ‘Seinfeld’.
‘Seinfeld’ ran for nine seasons on NBC, sweeping up Emmy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice awards as well as being named the greatest television show of all time in 2009 by TV Guide, and hailed as the ‘best sitcom ever’ in a ’60 Minutes’/Vanity Fair poll.
Flash forward to now – Jerry’s latest Emmy-nominated Netflix projects include ‘Jerry Before Seinfeld’, and ’23 Hours To Kill’. He’s also done a web series, ‘Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee’. Plus, Jerry has starred in, written and produced films, directed and produced on Broadway, and written three best-selling books.
In terms of what’s next, he’s set to star in the upcoming comedy film, ‘Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story’, which he directed, co-wrote and produced.
Tickets go on sale 17 November at 12pm.
