Queenie van de Zandt is bringing her Dutch-born 'musical therapist' back.
In a new show bound to raise eyebrows (and the undead!) Jan will conjure the laughs in her one-woman exposé 'Parting The Red Curtains'.
Jan gathered a national cult following when she appeared on 'Australia's Got Talent' in early 2016. She is now regularly asked to host high profile charity concerts and award shows, such as the 2016 and 2017 Helpmann Awards.
“I’m inviting [everyone] to come inside my fabulous celebrity world and journey back to my Netherlands to see where this legend began,” Jan says.
“I’m not one to rest on my wattles in the business of show, so I’ve added another pussy to my bow. I’m now a psychic medium. In fact, in psychic circles I’m what’s called a ‘medium rare’ – I’m that good.”
...Or so she says.
Things go horribly wrong when she mistakenly channels her own disgruntled (and dead) ex-student and the real story of her life unfolds.
As for Queenie, the source of this madness, she is also known for her extensive work in musical theatre and cabaret. Queenie has played leading roles in hit musicals such as 'We Will Rock You', 'Funny Girl', 'Into The Woods', 'King Kong', 'Smoke & Mirrors', 'Oliver!', 'The Full Monty', 'Anything Goes', 'The Boy From Oz', and 'Follies'.
As a leading lady in musical theatre, it's no surprise the character of Jan is completely ridiculous and a riot of laughs.
Don't miss the chance to watch Jan's life unravel.
