Tickets for Aziz Ansari's first Australian tour are selling faster than shares in the Snakehole Lounge.
The comedian and actor is one of the breakout stars of Parks & Recreation, in which he plays delusional government employee (and wannabe hip hop mogul) Tom Haverford. In real life, he counts Jay-Z and Kanye West as friends, and appeared in the 'Otis' video.
Ansari has released two hour-long stand-up specials, including the recent Dangerously Delicious. He had a supporting role on Scrubs and appeared in the films 30 Minutes Or Less, Get Him To The Greek, I Love You, Man, Observe And Report and Funny People. He's currently developing three films with Judd Apatow and director Jason Woliner. In the 2000s, he made a name for himself as one third of the surrealist sketch comedy group Human Giant.
In short, he's an absurdly funny dude.
