Tasmania’s largest comedy event introduces its biggest line-up yet, as Hobart Festival Of Comedy returns for its third iteration.

15 headliners will take to the stage at the Odeon and Altar Bar, across five nights, with audiences given the opportunity to see a mix of international and interstate faves.

The festival boasts a stellar list of headliners.

Anisa Nandaula is a champion slam poet turned stand-up comedian, diving headfirst into life’s chaos. She’s earned a Best Newcomer nominee at the 2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and will dish on feuding with her next door neighbour, surviving workplace drama, and returning from her most recent trip to Africa with a suitcase of stories.

Damien Power is known for razor-sharp wit and insightful humour, delighting audiences over the years at the likes of Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.

You know Generally Fricker’s voice from triple j, and her face from ‘Have You Been Paying Attention?’. She knows how to have a ‘Good Time’ and will bring her blend of sassy and dark stand-up to Hobart.

Lloyd Langford has been making audiences laugh for 20 years. The Welshman will joke about giraffes, clouds, and his problems with every single other person on earth.

‘Nun Slut’ is Claire Robin’s delightfully profane journey through religion, the body, and former National Party leader Barnaby Joyce. It’s adults only and took home the Best In Comedy Award at Sydney Fringe.

Stephen K Amos will present ‘Now We’re Talking’. Born in London to Nigerian parents, Amos has done the Edinburgh Fringe almost every year since 2001. Here, the king of feel-good comedy talks about what makes him tick and gives him the ick.

Takashi Wakasugi has garnered popularity through appearances on ‘The Gala’, ‘Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee’ and ‘Taskmaster Australia’. Audiences can expect katana-sharp observations of Aussie culture, polite roasts, and maybe an apology to Vegemite toast.

“We're so excited to present the third Hobart Festival of Comedy across the Odeon and Altar Bar in March,” Program Director Kimberley Galceran says. “The stand-up names are off the charts, with career-greats like Pete Helliar and Stephen K Amos, TV favourites like Kirsty Webeck, Lloyd Langford and Anisa Nandaula, and social media stars like Sez. We're also welcoming multi-Fringe festival award winning performance ‘Nun Slut’ by Claire Robin to Hobart for the first time.”

“Audiences are invited to pack two or three shows into an evening, with food and drinks available at In The Hanging Garden in between. And, if you're looking for a truly up-close and personal experience I recommend volunteering for our Comedy Hypnotist Phoenix Montgomery.”

Tickets on sale 13 November.

Hobart Festival Of Comedy is on from 18-22 March.
