Superstar comedian Gabriel Iglesias will return to Australia for the first time in four years, bringing his acclaimed show ‘Don’t Worry Be Fluffy’.
Gabriel recently became the second-highest grossing touring comedian, and is one of the most watched comedians on YouTube, with more than 1.1 billion views, and more than 25 million fans on social media.
Gabriel was included in The Hollywood Reporters ‘Top 40 Comedy Players’ issue, alongside comedy giants like Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, and Lorne Michaels. Last year, he was on the cover of Variety’s comedy issue, as well as headlining (and selling out) Madison Square Garden in New York, and our own Sydney Opera House.
He’s the star and Executive Producer of ‘Mr. Iglesias’, a comedy sitcom with three seasons on Netflix. Additionally, he’s released two stand-up specials on the platform, one of which ‘Stadium Fluffy’, where he was the first comedian to perform at the iconic Dodger Stadium.
In the world of film, Gabriel has appeared in the likes of ‘Magic Mike’, ‘Magic Mike XXL’ and ‘A Haunted House 2’, as well as voicing animated characters including Speedy Gonzales in ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’, Head Clerk in ‘Coco’, Babo in ‘Ugly Dolls’, Rufus in ‘The Star’ and Cuarto in ‘Ferdinand’.
Gabriel developed a strong sense of humour at a young age, as a way to deal with the obstacles he faced. From 1997 he set out to hone his skills and performed stand-up wherever he could find an audience – now, he’s selling out arenas and stadiums all over the place!
