Powerhouse performer Em Rusciano will hit the road for 'Outgrown', her first big national tour since her wildly successful ‘Rage And Rainbows’ in 2019.
Yes, Em’s still angry – but now she knows why!
The tour will cover all corners of the country, as Em plays Toowoomba, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Wollongong, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Bunbury, Ballarat, Newcastle, Canberra, Albury, Launceston, Hobart and Melbourne.
Last time Em Rusciano was on the stage, she had been given the surprise diagnostic trifecta of ADHD, autism, and early menopause. Once she picked herself up off the ground from this triple revelation, she began to explore what it all meant. In the midst of it, she delivered a powerful speech at the National Press Club of Australia.
This new show is a searing, multi-sensory look at the beauty which can emerge, even once everything has been burnt to the ground.
"The last five years have been brutal, beautiful and bonkers,” Em says. “They challenged everything I ever believed about myself to my core. Not to be dramatic, but the term ‘complete ego death’ wouldn’t be out of place here.”
“I’m finally limping out the other side of it now with way less oestrogen, and as a newly crowned neuro-divergent double threat. So naturally it felt like the right time to get myself back on stage.
“You can look forward to a multi-sensory exploration and examination of the beauty that can emerge after everything has been burned to the ground. And of course elaborate costumes, novelty sized props and me workshopping my trauma via an over-the-top all out musical comedy extravaganza."
Tickets go on sale 23 April at 10am.
