Affable, lovable and hilarious – by all checks and measures, Daniel Connell appears to be the ideal Aussie comedian.
Daniel's observational, dry and often unexpected comedy has sent him hurtling around the country. Last year he made his second appearance at Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, featured in hit series 'Kinne Tonight' and toured his 'Piece Of Piss' show around Australia as well as to Edinburgh Fringe. He also fired his publicist after they suggested promoting him as 'The Batemans Bay Bandicoot'. Good call.
This year, Daniel has himself a brand-new bag of gags deeper than a Mary Poppins carry-on that he'll be unloading on unsuspecting audiences in his show 'Cheers Big Ears'.
"It's a ripper new stand-up comedy show,” Daniel says. “I'll be bringing a few new shirts and a couple of new pairs of pants to wear.”
"I'm keen to make the crowd laugh for 55 minutes," he says. “Looking forward to seeing how the new shirts/pants look in the spotlights.”
So prick up your ears, no matter their size, and make a beeline for Daniel Connell in 'Cheers Big Ears' for a night of easy laughs.
"I hope the audience feels happy they spent their hard-earned on the show,” Daniel says. “I hope they think 'gee that shirt/pant combo was nice'.”
