Nothing means anything. . . Unless you decide it does. And Luka Muller has decided that stand-up comedy means everything to him.
Luka's been doing stand-up for almost eight years. Originally from Melbourne, his funnies have taken him around Australia (except Tasmania. . . He's never been there!) as well as to Wellington, London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
If not on stage for a regular gig, you might have seen Luka play at Splendour In The Grass, or heard him on triple j, ABC Radio, or his own podcasts 'Oooh Spooky' and 'Going Hypo'.
He'll present his new show 'Yeah Nice' in his hometown of Melbourne after playing to crowds at the Adelaide Fringe.
“In lockdown last year I decided I wanted to write a show, a full hour of comedy, 60 minutes of jokes about the guy in the Guinness Book Of Records who ate a plane,” Luka describes. “Then lockdown ended and I decided, no, that’s not true at all. Instead I’ve got a reflective hour of comedy about my long journey to realising my sexuality, and what it taught me about meaning and purpose.
“Fresh off sell-out shows at the Adelaide Fringe, I’m now bringing my show to Melbourne International Comedy Festival. It’s my most personal, focused and of course funny show yet.”
Luka Muller plays Coopers Inn (Melbourne International Comedy Festival) from 30 March-10 April.
