Australian comedy queen Celeste Barber will return to Australian stages this August/September, with her acclaimed show ‘Backup Dancer’.
Having already played a sold-out tour to Australian, US, UK and European audiences, Celeste is back, set to bring ‘Backup Dancer’ to nine regional cities she’s never performed in before. . . Giving fans in previously unvisited areas, the chance to experience Celeste’s signature blend of humour and storytelling.
The show dives into all things from social satire to awkward personal anecdotes. . . And Celeste’s lifelong dream to be a backup dancer for the one and only Janet Jackson. The show has been seen by almost 100,000 people from all over the place.
“‘I’ve been around the world with this show but nothing beats performing at home,” Celeste says. “I have so much history with so many of the regional places I’m bringing ‘Backup Dancer’ to in August and September and I can’t wait to get out there and see my girls all over the country.”
Celeste will also bring ‘Backup Dancer’ back to Sydney and Melbourne, due to popular demand.
Tickets on sale 22 May.
