For the first time since his 2021 sold-out run, British comedian-author Ben Elton returns to Australia in 2025.
One of the godfathers of modern stand-up, Elton will present his brand-new live show – Authentic Stupidity – to audiences in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong, Newcastle, Brisbane and Gold Coast next March-April.Since Ben last graced our shores, a lot has changed alongside a new existential threat – Artificial Intelligence. Yet, despite the thread of rendering humanity all but meaningless, Elton is more concerned by a bigger threat: Authentic Stupidity!
"The verdict's in! Humanity is thick! Homo halfwit. The idiot branch of the Ape family," declares Ben. "We need signs to tell us to step off escalators, we elect gibbering fools to lead us and now we've invented Artificial Intelligence, which is actually going to replace us!
