Comedian, writer, performer and rat Becky Lucas returns to stand up stages around the country with her cutting tongue and a brand-new show 'My Neck, My Back'.
Still reeling from being called ‘ma’am’ while purchasing a packet of hot Cheetos and a Maxibon at the local convenience store, Becky was reminded that she had to come up with a title and blurb for this year’s show.
“Urgh it truly is hard being a woman in comedy I thought, sucking the Cheetos dust off my ring finger and thumb," she says.
"Anyway, I wrote most of these jokes in my head whilst sitting at the pub being lectured to about data mining by a guy with stick 'n' poke tattoos and bad breath. I think it’s a good show, but please don’t come if your favourite comedian is Stephen Fry or if you quote-tweet things with ‘let this sink in’. I’m a stupid bitch and I’ve never pretended to be otherwise.”
Becky kicks off her national tour at the 2020 Adelaide Fringe in February before taking 'My Neck, My Back' on the annual comedy rodeo to Brisbane Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the Perth and Sydney Comedy Festivals until May.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 10am on Thursday, November 28. Click here for more information.
