How do you survive in this era of skyrocketing prices? Well, Andrew's here to teach you how to be cheap – for a modest fee. The 'Chaser's War On Everything' star is known for his ferocious songs and beloved characters.
This new show is a setlist of affordable numbers and reasonably-priced sketches.
“'Andrew Hansen Is Cheap' is a show about how bloody expensive everything is, and how to survive that,” Andrew says. “My handy money-saving tips include: How to look posh by eating soup from a plastic pouch instead of a can, how to navigate one of those never-ending phone menus where you have to listen to 47 options, and as always on my tours, an updated and wildly tasteless version of 'The Eulogy Song' featuring all the latest dead celebrities.”

Andrew will be taking the show on the road for audiences here, there and everywhere.
“The thing I love about comedy festival season is the comedy,” Andrew reflects. “There's just so much more comedy to see than when it's not comedy festival season!”
As for the subject matter, Andrew's not afraid to cover a number of things throughout the show.
“My cheap show does indeed feature a few short, affordable songs. They're about why I'm not on TikTok, the worst members of the royal family, trigger warnings, opting out of email lists, 'country of origin' labels on food, vampires. . . You know, all the usual topics of the adult contemporary genre. Enjoy!”
Andrew Hansen plays Planet Royale (Perth Comedy Festival) 5 May, Brisbane Powerhouse (Brisbane Comedy Festival) 12 May, and Factory Theatre (Sydney Comedy Festival) 17-21 May.
