Alex Ward is lucky enough to have a family who wholeheartedly and actively support her in everything she does, that’s part of the reason she wholeheartedly regrets accepting her dad’s Facebook friend request.
After a successful first solo at Melbourne Comedy Festival with sold out shows in 2017, Alex brings a brand new hour of stand-up. Ask Alex what ‘Good, great’ is about and she will just say to you, “you know when someone loves you but that’s annoying? Yeah, it’s about that”.
Alex has been performing stand-up for less than five years and has achieved a credit-worthy amount of work, most notably would be her 2017 show success landing her a writing job for Network Ten’s ‘The Project’.
Alex was Queensland Raw Comedy state finalist in 2014 and 2015. She has performed at Splendour In The Grass twice and was selected by Marieke Hardy to present a piece to a sold-out show at Hardy's renowned event 'Women of Letters' and has since been published in Penguin's print edition.
Now Melbourne-based, she is still having success across the country with a sold-out run of shows in her hometown at Brisbane Comedy Festival last year. You also may have heard Alex throughout 2014 and 2015 on her drive radio show on JOY Fm as well as heard her popping up on ABC and Triple J.
