Sadly, the facts are in and it has been decided – this year marks the final season of Brisbane ImproMafia's 'Agatha Holmes'.
The beloved long-running murder-mystery comedy will be finishing up at the end of this month. Played by Greg Rowbotham, Agatha Holmes adventures are fully improvised on stage in front of an audience turned considerable fan-base.

Inspired by the works of Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle and Agatha Christie, show director David Massingham has based the final show ('And Then There Was Agatha Holmes') on Agatha Christie's masterpiece 'And Then There Were None'. "We wanted to go out with a bang for the finale," Massingham says.
"So, as in 'And Then There Were None', we thought it would be fun to see the case of suspects get killed off as the season progressed. For the audience, there's the exciting question, 'Who's going to die tonight? Could it be my favourite?'"
The cast of ten are some of Brisbane's finest comic improvisers, and though they know each night who their character is, details like the night's murder weapon and tell-tale clues are drawn from audience suggestion. Though cast of suspects know what the audience suggestions are, Agatha Holmes has no clue. So while the audience is trying to work out who the killer is, the detective is too.
"I think part of the appeal is that the show is improvised - we're making it up as we go - so every case is a unique story. People who come every night get to see the story develop, but it's still self-contained; people new to the show understand what's going on immediately."
