Steady Eddy

The man, the myth, the comedian is playing a rare show for landlubbers this March, as Esk Club Hotel in Brisbane breaks the seal on the flow of comedy they’re about to unleash just over the other side of Wivenhoe Dam, in association with Sit Down Comedy Club.

Situated right on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, Esk Club Hotel is a rustic gem complete with an outdoor cookhouse, serving meaty bits to rival Brisbane’s worst vegetarian restaurant.

Since reopening its doors eight months ago after renovations that included a full-tilt injection of Aussie personality, the pub has been hand-crafting its reputation as an endearing nod to local history and a solid spot to rest at the base of Glen Rock, claiming the Best Bush Pub title in 2019.

Ahead of Steady Eddy’s show, he lists five reasons why he likes being single.

One

I don’t like sharing my PS4.

Two

I don’t like other people wearing my crotchless panties.

Three

I don’t have to answer stupid questions like, 'does my butt look big in this dress'.

Four

I don’t have to pretend to like 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'.

Five

I don’t have to use 'Twilight' as a segue in every conversation.

Steady Eddy plays Esk Club Hotel (with Kat Davidson) 14 March.
