Proud Ngarrindjeri man Kevin Kropinyeri is taking part in this year's Brisbane Comedy Festival in a few different ways.
In addition to performing with the 'Aboriginal Comedy Allstars', Kevin will be performing his own show, 'Goes Talkabout', as well.
Kevin's high energy and onstage antics are sure to bring the laughs when he appears on stage for the festival this year – but before you check him out, Kevin wants to bring your attention to five comedians he thinks are worth seeing during Brisbane Comedy Festival in 2021.
“I have had the pleasure of touring with and loving these very funny people! Here are five of my favourite comedians, in no particular order. So get along Brisbane and check out these awesomely funny human beings,” Kevin says.
One
Randy Feltface – 'Purple Privilege'. You just become mesmerised by this purple puppet who takes on a whole life of his own. Funny, quick-witted with a great story behind this comedy hour, with over 6,000 tickets sold for this show Australia-wide. Come and see why Randy Feltface is such a huge hit with Australian and international audiences! Two
Nikki Britton – 'One Small Step'. I haven’t seen Nikki’s new show, but I have toured with her and she is a hard-hitting comedian who brings huge laughs and is hilarious! She was nominated this year at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as best overall show. I am very keen to see Nikki’s show this year!Three
Mel Buttle – 'Here If You Need'. This beautiful person is one of my favourites! I haven’t seen her new show, however, whenever Mel is on the bill, I am always quick to go and see her perform. I look forward to seeing her show this year.Four
Geraldine Hickey – 'Live'. Geraldine is on fire! She is one of the best comics in the country and also one of the most loveable! Her new show won the overall best show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival this year! Go and see why! A must-see!Five
The 'Aboriginal Comedy Allstars'. Yes, I may be a little bias because I am in this show. We have had great reviews in Australia and internationally, with great success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This is a unique comedy experience! The freshest Aussie comedy from the oldest living culture on earth. This comedy is totally different from what you are used to! You will not be disappointed! We share a unique comedy which will have all Indigenous and non-Indigenous people laughing alongside each other!Kevin Kropinyeri is part of 'Aboriginal Comedy Allstars' at Brisbane Powerhouse on 1 August, and presents 'Goes Talkabout' at Brisbane Powerhouse 4-8 August.
