At the age of 13, Australian violinist Edward Walton won his first international competition in Italy.
He made his international orchestral debut even younger, at 11 – with the Western Bohemian Symphony Orchestra.
Since then, he's gone on to perform as a soloist with orchestras in Europe, the USA, and down under, as well as win awards across the world.
This November, in 'Wonder', audiences have the chance to witness Edward's talents as he performs Johannes Brahms' monumental 'Violin Concerto', with Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Dr Nicholas Milton AM, and the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra.
“Brahms' 'Violin Concerto' is a piece I have dreamed of performing for so long,” Edward says. “I am honoured to be making my debut with it with Willoughby Symphony under the baton of Nicholas Milton.”
Then, the most famous four notes in music history launch Ludwig van Beethoven's magnificent 'Symphony No. 5', a beloved cornerstone of the orchestral repertoire.
It will be a night to celebrate the wonder and passion of music, with exceptional talent at the helm.
'Wonder' plays The Concourse (Chatswood) 23-24 November.
