Werewolf: Live - Lying, Manipulation, Backstabbing... Oh My!

'Werewolf: Live'
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Your favourite comedians are set to play the game dirty when it comes to 'Werewolf: Live' at Fringe World.

After a hit run at Edinburgh Fringe, 'Werewolf: Live' is making its West Australian debut with its host Jon Gracey.

Based on the popular party game also known as Mafia, 'Werewolf: Live' sees the innocent ‘villagers’ weed out the murderous werewolves, who are hiding in their ranks. Audiences get to see outrageous accusations hurled and mob justice meted out – not always successfully.

“Comedians are great at 'Werewolf: Live',” Jon Gracey of The Beta Males says. “They read rooms for a living so they can often tell when someone is lying or acting suspiciously. But they’re also really persuasive and charismatic, meaning the wolves sometimes get away with literal pretend murder.”

The show is comprised of three games, with a revolving line-up of seven comedians and one lucky audience member, so player tactics are revealed throughout the show, and audiences get the chance to go head to head with some of their favourite comics. Past guests include Daniel Sloss, Mae Martin, Nish Kumar and Alice Fraser.

With sold out shows at VAULT Festival 2017, Brighton Fringe 2017 and Edinburgh Fringe 2018, 'Werewolf: Live' is a night of uproar, high stakes and hilarity. Expect chaos.

'Werewolf: Live' plays Middar Room at State Theatre Centre 31 January-3 February.
