The Brisbane Powerhouse lights up throughout December for Wonderland Festival.

As the nights get warmer, the iconic Brisbane venue will transform into an exciting artistic celebration. Wonderland Festival will see over two weeks of food and performance, with a huge range of burlesque, circus, cabaret, music, poetry, theatre and vaudeville shows to entice and entertain. The outdoor festival will revel in the summery atmosphere, with night food markets, outdoor performance tents and plenty of outdoor activities to suit the season.

Kris Stewart, the festival's Artistic Director, says: “Wonderland is our summer festival under the stars and we invite everyone in Brisbane to come out with their friends and family to soak up the carnival vibes, catch a show or two and taste some of the delightful treats on offer.”

The headline act for 2015 is internationally acclaimed touring show 'Finucane & Smith's Glory Box: La Revolución', returning from a smash-hit South American tour. The show brings a wild night of entertainment, with cocktails, comedy, circus and cabaret. It is a raucous and subversive variety show sure to keep everyone entertained.

The festival will see the return of rock star comedy duo Die Roten Punkte. The German siblings bring their new show 'Kunst Rock' to the festival, combining early punk music with irreverent hilarity as they argue their way through an evening of catchy comedy.

Making it's way from Broadway to Brisbane, the stage show 'Songs For The Fallen' tells the story of Marie Duplessis, the French courtesan that inspired Baz Lurhmann's 'Moulin Rouge!' Following her life from party girl to nationwide notoriety, the vaudeville show is guaranteed to entertain.
