World-renowned Australian ballroom and Latin dance company Burn The Floor is passing its 25th year, and in 2023 they’ll collaborate with world music star Mitch Tambo for a brand-new dance production.
The collaboration is set to be an inspirational dance journey, embracing Indigenous culture and music, fuelled with Australian rock classics and driven with the energy and passion of 20 dancers, vocalists, and musicians.
Following the show’s Australian tour will be a documentary, tracking it from development through to opening night. The documentary is set to showcase the melting pot of ballroom style, Indigenous culture, Australian creativity, and home-grown talent to the world.
Burn The Floor have already enjoyed huge overseas success – including a seven-month season on Broadway, two seasons in West End, and tours through 30 countries and more than 150 cities.
Meanwhile, Mitch Tambo is on the verge of superstardom. He performs in his own language and presents storytelling of his own world. His passion is to share his culture to wider audiences.
