The Swisse Color Run is back in Australia for a tour and luckily, Sydney is on the map.
The five-kilometer paint race is inspired by the Hindu festival Holi, which marks the coming of spring by throwing powder paint and coloured water.
Attendants start the run dressed in white and are splashed with a different colour as they pass each kilometre marker.
The race, which had its debut in the US in January 2012, has gone from 50 events and 600,000 participants to 100 events and over 100 millions participants in 2013.
While the event is known as the Happiest 5k race on the Planet, it also focuses on promoting a healthy living. With that said, there are no winners or official times and all age groups are welcome. Another focus of The Color Run is to give back. For every city they have visited, they have also chosen a local charity to make donations for.
The Color Run will hit Sydney Sunday August 25.
