Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

The award-winning splash-hit musical ‘Titanique’ will make its Australian premiere at Sydney’s Grand Electric this September.

It’s an irresistibly funny send-up of the iconic James Cameron blockbuster ‘Titanic’, driven by the songs of pop icon Celine Dion. Audiences in New York are flocking to see it – and it’s even extended its run at the Daryl Roth Theatre in Union Square, multiple times since it premiered in 2022.

“I am so thrilled that ‘Titanique’ will make its maiden voyage to international waters in Sydney for its Australian debut,” ‘Titanique’’s original Producer Eva Price says, “and I cannot wait to see that Aussie sense of humour embrace this hysterically funny nautical fantasia when it comes to life down under this September.”

What do you get when the music of Celine Dion makes sweet, Canadian love with the eleven-time Oscar Award-winning blockbuster film ‘Titanic’? You get off-Broadway’s most award-winning hit, turning one of the greatest love stories of all time into a hysterical musical fantasia.

So if you’re itching to find out what really happened to Jack and Rose on that fateful night, leave it to Celine Dion to enchant the audience with her totally wild take as she recharts the course of ‘Titanic’’s beloved moments and characters, through her song catalogue.

“We know how much Sydney loves a great night out and unabashed escapism, and ‘Titanique’ is the perfect show for both of those things,” Australian Producer Michael Cassel says. “We can’t wait to share this side-splittingly funny show with audiences here in an exciting new venue and give you the most incredible take on Céline Dion and ‘Titanic’ you have ever seen.”

‘Titanique’ is directed by Tye Blue (‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’) and choreographed by Ellenore Scott (‘Funny Girl’, ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’).

Casting for the Australian production has commenced.

‘Titanique’ plays The Grand Electric (Sydney) from September 2024.
