The Rechabite

Inside The Rechabite's iconic century-old heritage building is Heart House – a place where Fringe artists, audiences and late-night wanderers find themselves under the one roof.

Heart House has grown into a much-loved Fringe institution, known for warmth, generosity of spirit, and curated chaos. In 2026, Heart House is set to return bigger, bolder and more full of heart ever before. Across four levels, seven nights a week, The Rechabite will once again become a home away from home – offering delicious food, drinks, and a hand-picked programme of entertainment.

This year's line-up features 14 diverse Fringe shows, spanning music, circus, comedy, cabaret, burlesque and more. . . Housed within a building which has seen a century of stories and knows exactly how to throw a Fringe party.

For the lovers of music, there's 'History Of House', a celebration of sound and soul featuring three-time GRAMMY Award winners Soweto Gospel Choir. They bring their new concert to Heart House, performing a joyful, deeply moving programme of South African freedom songs.

There's also '27 Club' for the rock and roll diehards – it features Australian rock icons Kevin Mitchell of Jebediah and Bob Evans fame, as well as Sarah McLeod of The Superjesus, paying tribute to legendary artists gone too soon.

Then, cabaret devotees will surely flock to see late-night favourite 'Hubba Hubba'. . . Where hedonists and heartthrobs collide in a decadent, high-energy party presented by Briefs.

Wanting something a little more daring? A little more on the edge? Local, multi award-winning circus and variety troupe Kinetica return with 'Flirtatious', delivering a sizzling showcase of jaw-dropping acts.

Hello Rooftop will be serving up summery Fringe drinks and great tunes, while downstairs at Goodwill Club, world-class comedy takes centre stage with the likes of Lizzy Hoo, Pete Rowsthorn, Claire Hooper and more.
