The gang's all at The Rechabite this Perth Fringe World season.
With a smorgasbord of circus, cabaret, variety and comedy shows, The Rechabite will be a one-stop-shop for all things entertainment.
'The Big Free Fun Fringe Party' kicks it all off – and it's exactly what it says on the tin. A free event for Fringe fanatics keen to get the party started.
'Say Hello' is a rooftop series taking the heat of Fringe to the Hello Rooftop four nights a week, meanwhile comedy hypnotist Matt Hale is set to bring 'Absolute Chaos' in his modern brand of hypno-laughs.
Taking things up a notch – literally – is cabaret circus troupe Kinetica presenting two shows: 'Sinsuality: Make It Reign' and 'Circus After Dark'. Speaking of after dark, Fringe fave Worship will take you on a journey through the darker stages of death and afterlife, in 'Worship: Memento Vivere'.
Nine comedy crushers will take to the stage in the 'The Crushers Comedy Gala', and down in the depths, The Rechabite's Fringe comedy den will host the likes of Rory Lowe, Colin Ebsworth, Fabian Woods, Tor Synder and Jon Pinder, and Queer Comedy – all keen to provide the LOLs.

This year we’ve curated an explosive programme of cabaret, drag, circus and comedy. We aim to please at The Rechabite and our diverse, eclectic programme is no exception – packed full with absolute crowd pleasers. Programme highlights include 'Rouge' – a spectacular circus for adults, 'Fringe Freak Out' – the biggest opening and closing parties Fringe has ever seen and 'Crushers Comedy' – Fringe’s premium comedy experience featuring a selection of WA’s best comics. A smorgasbord of local, national and international acts, we’re very lucky to have such a great scope of performers for 2022. What went into programming The Rechabite’s 2022 Fringe World offering?
This season we cherry-picked the very best shows that Fringe has to offer. It was a challenging lead up with border closures, new restrictions and big changes to the way venues operate, nevertheless we feel like we’ve pulled together a fantastic programme that will appeal to a broad range of audiences. What are you guys hoping audiences love about the programme this year?
There’s a lot of exciting, new, boundary-pushing shows coming to The Rechabite – a whole spectrum of performances for all ages and walks of life. We hope that audiences can discover something different this Fringe, a new genre of shows to love, a new favourite performer, or a new way to enjoy a night out. Every night at The Rechabite is a unique experience and we can’t wait for audiences to come down and explore the venue across all four levels in new and exciting ways.

What's it like to be a hub for Fringe World this year?
We like to say that The Rechabite is a multilevel playground of surprise and delight where anything goes and everything is possible and Fringe is a particularly special time of year for us. Filling all four levels of our venue with Fringe-goers and incredible performances creates such an electric atmosphere – it really is the best time of year in Perth! Is there anything else you'd like to add?
We’re excited for audiences to get the full Rechabite experience – drinks at Hello Rooftop, dinner in our restaurant Double Rainbow, giggles in our underground comedy den curated by Colin Ebsworth, and a bit of WOW upstairs in Rechabite Hall as well. The Rechabite's Fringe World offering kicks off from 14 January-13 February.
