Larger-than-life Brisbane photographer Dylan Evans — whose extensive client base includes the Little Red Company, La Boite Theatre Company, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Shake & Stir theatre co, Dead Puppet Society and Scene Magazine — is hosting his first solo exhibition. Will the Judith Wright Centre be big enough to hold this much talent (and this much narcissism)?

Big juicy bag of photos.
How did this all come about?
I have been working in the arts scene and have done work with Rumour Has It: Sixty Minutes Inside Adele. So my exhibition is a mix of personal and advertising work, including some shots from the Adele shoot.
What is your favourite image and why?
The shot of me playing in a band with the other Dylan members of the band. This series is basically asking what would happen if I was let loose In a space. Plus I love the beautiful dog who posed so well for me.
Any funny/ crazy/ weird stories from behind the lens?
Not really, this was one of the most planned shoots I have ever done. I dropped my camera and broke the lens after the band shot which meant that the following shot I had to get creative and think on my feet. But that really isn't crazy. Now that you ask, I think I should make all my shoots much crazier!
If you could photograph any celebrity in the world?
I would shoot Johnny Depp as I think he would be up for anything. The crazier the better, and all the time being ridiculously good looking!

Outside the box is always better than restricting the possibilities because it's safe. People should be as creative as they can. Love life and create awesome stuff.
