The Cover Of Rolling Stone Tours Australia

Rolling Stone Australia
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

You may never get your picture on the cover of Rolling Stone, but for the first time in Australian history, a collection of the best covers from the past four decades of Rolling Stone Australia is touring the country.

The Yarra Ranges Regional Museum, curated by local musician and Thornbury Records store owner Megan Shelley, has scored the Victorian exclusive to Rolling Stone: The Covers, a touring exhibition which will showcase 150 of the best covers from the Australian edition of the world's most recognisable music magazine.

Whether or not you always agree with their reviews, Rolling Stone is a cultural icon and its covers have often come to define an era, not only because of the artists who grace them but also in terms of brilliant design, photography, illustration and typography.
