Hello. . . Again!
The Tony, Olivier, and GRAMMY Award-winning production ‘The Book of Mormon’ will return to Australia from July 2025, starting in Sydney.
The show has won nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and the GRAMMY Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. It follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys, sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get.
It first hit the stage in a world premiere in 2011, at Broadway’s Eugene O’Neil Theatre. It has set house records at 27 theatres across the US, and broke theatre sales records at its world premiere theatre more than 50 times. Plus, the London production broke box office records, for the highest single day of sales in West End history.
Down under, ‘The Book Of Mormon’’s premiere Australian season, in Melbourne, broke the record for highest selling on-sale period of any production in the Princess Theatre’s 159-year history. It also won the Helpmann Award for Best Musical.
‘The Book Of Mormon’ features book, music and lyrics from Trey Parker, Matt Stone (‘South Park’) and Robert Lopez (‘Avenue Q’, ‘Frozen’, ‘Coco’). It’s co-directed and choreographed by Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning Casey Nicholaw.
‘The Book of Mormon’ opens at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre from July 2025. Waitlists are also now open for other states around the country.
