Sweaty Pits Debut A New Show For Fringe Season In Melbourne And Sydney

'Sweaty Pits'
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Canberra comedy duo, Sweaty Pits, will debut their first sketch show, 'Pity Party', at Melbourne's Fringe Festival and Sydney Fringe this September.

With their unique, outrageous clowning, the female comedy duo weave humour, burlesque, slapstick and much more into their one hour show.

Covering a collection of serious social issues close to their hearts, such as anger, frustration, equality and love, Sweaty Pits are renowned for their positive and energetic performances.

Aside from the '80s aerobics, numerous costume changes and 'Magic Mike' strip routines, Sweaty Pits offer the crowd a range of outlandish characters, along with their own quick-witted comedic style, to enjoy.

Originally coming together to create their first sketch in 2016, Frances McNair and Miriam Slater combined their shared passion by creating the sketch comedy team. Since then, Sweaty Pits have sold out shows and performed at art festivals all over Australian, including YOU ARE HERE, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Art Not Apart, and Floriade Fringe Festival.

In 2017, the duo also participated in the state finals of RAW Comedy ACT with their sketch, 'MILFCAMP'.

'Pity Party' will be performed at Factory Theatre (Sydney Fringe) 8-9 September and The Butterfly Club (Melbourne Fringe) from 24-30 September.
