Smash-hit cult cabaret ‘An Evening Without Kate Bush’ will make its Victorian debut at Arts Centre Melbourne in February, 2025.
The production pays tribute to the music, fans and mythology of one of the most influential voices in pop music – as you enter Strange Phenomena, howl with the Hounds Of Love, and dance on the moors with Wuthering Heights.
Featuring a mesmerising performance from Sarah-Louise Young, ‘An Evening Without Kate Bush’ is based on years of Bush-related research, delving into the fan base Kate has inspired since first topping the UK charts in 1978.
The show features classics like ‘Running Up That Hill’, ‘Cloudbusting’ and ‘The Main With The Child In His Eyes’. There’ll also be some unexpected B-sides, as well as bootlegs and unique takes on songs like ‘This Woman’s Work’ and ‘Babushka’.

Last time it was in Australia it enjoyed full houses at Sydney Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Fringe World in Perth, and Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
Whether you’re an OG fan or you’ve recently jumped on board through the likes of ‘Stranger Things’, ‘An Evening Without Kate Bush’ encourages all to release their inner Bush, and celebrate.
‘An Evening Without Kate Bush’ plays Arts Centre Melbourne 5-8 February, 2025.
