At this year's Fringe World in Perth, Skye High Burlesque will be treating audiences to two shows – each sure to tantalise and delight.
First is 'Wildd With A Double D', a show making its return to Fringe with a brand-new instalment. This one incorporates all things wild and dark. Last year, Skye High brought audiences into the depths of the jungle, and in 2024 it's an adventure into the depths of taboo, fetish, and all things menacing.
Each performer (including Johnny Wild, Wild Kat, Delza Skye and Madame Demi Diva) will bring a different theme, to keep you on the edge of your seat and the hairs on the back of your neck standing up.
"We are looking forward to giving the audience a rollercoaster ride of feelings for 'Wildd', and belly aches from laughing so hard at 'Boganlesque'," Owner/Director of Skye High Burlesque Delza Skye says.
"Audiences should expect the unexpected from our 'Wildd' performers. With more than half our cast debuting new acts, you really won't know what is coming next. From gender bender kinksters all the way to broken ballerinas and unforgettable slumber parties. There is a reason we need the extra D in 'Wildd'."
Next up is a performance from Wild Kat and Delza Skye: 'Boganlesque'. This is the very first Wild Skye production, making its triumphant debut at Fringe World. It's exactly what it says on the beer can: drinking, wheelie bin showgirls hitting the stage – a journey from Armadale to Gosnells as the hosts retrace their steps to figure out just what happened last night, at what's-their-name's house party.
"'Boganlesque' is packed full of iconic Aussie bogan culture, and we've made bogan sexy in ways you never imagined," Delza says.
"Expect far more than just flannies and mullets. If you want a bloody good laugh with the added bonus of people taking their clothes off, this is the show for you."
Eshays, bin chickens, a sausage sizzle, a special appearance from Pauline Hanson. . . Wanna see what bogan and burlesque looks like? This is the show for you, lovingly hosted by Minxy Milva and Rhys Suscitation.
'Wildd With A Double D' plays Main Room at Connections Nightclub (Fringe World Perth) 25,27,28 January. 'Boganlesque' plays Main Room at Connections Nightclub (Fringe World Perth) 14-18 February.
