Global phenomenon ‘SIX The Musical’ has revealed its new Australian cast.

The Tony Award-winning musical has enjoyed record-breaking seasons across the country, and it will reign again when it hits Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

’SIX’ tells the story of King Henry VIII’s six wives, stepping out of the shadow of their infamous husband to reclaim their own narratives. It’s a pop-inspired production written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, portraying the historical figures as fierce, influential pop stars. Introducing Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr.

Taking on the role of Henry VIII’s first wife, Catherine of Aragon, is Kimberley Hodgson, fresh from playing Anita in Handa’s ‘West Side Story’. She’s also graced stages in ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘Mary Poppins’, and ‘Frozen’.

Next up, as Anne Boleyn, is WAAPA graduate Deirdre Khoo, who played Janet in the 50th Anniversary Australian Tour of ‘The Rocky Horror Show’.

Loreen Hunter returns to the role of the loyal third wife Jane Seymour. ‘SIX’ has enhanced Loreen’s musical theatre career, including roles in ‘Strictly Ballroom The Musical’, and ‘King Kong The Musical’.

The independent Anna of Cleves will be played by Zelia Rose Kitoko – a multifaceted actor, singer, dancer, and solo creative artist. She made her musical theatre debut in Australia’s ‘Hamilton’ in 2020.

The playful fifth wife, Katherine Howard, will be played once again by Chelsea Dawson. She made an impact in the role on the most recent tour of ‘SIX’ across Australia.

The empowering Catherine Parr will be played by Giorgia Kennedy, who has previously understudied the lead role of Juliet in ‘& Juliet’, and Frankie in ‘Jagged Little Pill’.

“‘SIX’ has seen incredible anticipation and demand from fans which was a major force to bring the global phenomenal back to our stages,” Producer Louise Withers says. “The same anticipation exists regarding who will be crowned the ‘SIX’ Australian Queens, and we are now thrilled to present these incredible and dynamic performers. We know the fans will join us in being excited to welcome them into the Queendom and see them all step into the roles of the Ex-Wives.”

‘SIX The Musical’ plays Comedy Theatre (Melbourne) from 2 August 2024, Theatre Royal (Sydney) from 25 October 2024, and QPAC (Brisbane) from 2 January 2025.
