Grab your maracas, and prepare for "sensual use of food" as Juan Vesuvitus returns with his new show, 'Calypso Nights: Juan, Two?'.
The Venezuelan comedic DJ who toured the world with 'Calypso Nights', is spinning his record collection around Australia and wants everyone to know that this show should not be taken lightly.
“It is not for laughter. It's for expansion of mind and erotic awakening. Sensual and erotic feelings will be felt. The show's purpose is mainly to awaken the body to dance. If the audience find something funny then I love for people to laugh, because laughing means you are released from your day-to-day mind."

William Shakespeare once said that maracas were the key to a woman's heart (this is possibly not true), and with his instrument of choice in hand, Juan is expecting to get the audience moving with his scientifically proven plan.
“The maracas are a very underutilized instrument. They make a very sexy beat that particularly effects the hip bone. There has been scientific study of the effect of the maracas on the hip bone, and the maracas have a direct impact on this part of the body. Taylor Swift should use them more if she wants to get more hips moving.”

Dressing flamboyant and dancing loose are the names of the game for Juan, but he is quick to assure he will not be attempting to show off in 'conservative' Australia. “In Venezula this is not flamboyant, this is just what traditional musician wears. It's normal clothes for calypso musician. Here in Australia everyone is very conservative, very much following the style of England. Here flamboyant. The show is very much popular with the ladies, who are not used to the latino way of expression."
It appears this show will be both a musical and attitude teaching experience. “I feel Australian's need to have beer before they loosen up. In Venezuela we are loose, always ready to have a good time. We don't need beer to have a good time, but Australia needs a couple of beers first. Once they are in the zone, they are very funny."

Juan returns to Adelaide Fringe after last year, and even though his show is still a celebration of Calypso music, prepare for all new adventures. “I'm looking forward very much to coming to Adelaide. Last year I was there for 1 month but this time only 2 weeks. I'm bringing sexiness and sensual use of food.”
'Calypso Nights: Juan, Two?' performs The Garden of Unearthly Delights 29 February - 13 March as part of Adelaide Fringe Festival which takes place 12 February - 14 March.
