Global film and television star Ruby Rose will be joining the cast of the upcoming ‘2:22 – A Ghost Story’, premiering at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne this July.
The production will run for a strictly limited four-week season. Ruby Rose will return home to play Lauren, alongside Daniel MacPherson who steps into the role of Ben, Gemma Ward in the role of Jenny, and Remy Hii as Sam.
Ruby emerged on MTV Australia, and will next be seen on screen as one of the leads in Martin Campbell’s next film ‘Dirty Angels’ opposite Eva Green, and in ‘The Collective’ opposite Tyrese Gibson.
Audiences may have previously seen Ruby Rose in ‘The Meg’ opposite Jason Statham, ‘John Wick Chapter 2’ opposite Keanu Reeves, and ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ opposite Vin Diesel. She’s also been seen in ‘Pitch Perfect 3’, and in the world of television on ‘Orange Is The New Black’ and ‘Batwoman’.
“What a wonderfully thrilling opportunity and to be doing this back home in Melbourne, I can’t wait,” Ruby Rose says. “The show has been a huge hit in the UK and in LA and when I heard it was coming to Australia, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to get involved. It’s going to be an incredible cast and I can’t wait to perform with Dan MacPherson in our first time working together.”
‘2:22 – A Ghost Story’ first burst on to the West End stage in 2021, and shortly after in LA. It’s an Oliver-nominated production combining supernatural intrigue and social commentary, in a spine-tingling thriller. Previous cast members in the UK and La have included Lily Allen, Sophia Bush, Stephanie Beatriz, Tom Felton, and Cheryl.
Secrets will emerge, and ghosts may or may not appear.
